This will be an excellent opportunity to unpack the dense historical backdrop of the piece and its continued relevance today.

A vije du Molise, meaning “the road to Molise,” comes from a poem by Giose Rimanelli. In this panel, Brancato and Black will discuss the place of dialects in Italy from a linguistic and historical point of view, with a special focus on the context of Molise and the use of dialect in literary works. Presented by the Federazione delle associazioni molisane del Québec and the Istituto italiano di cultura.
